Word on the street in Mexico is that Mayan Group has not only laid off about half its sales line at the Puerto Penasco resort, but that with minor exceptions no work has been done on the entire resort in the last two years. True? Not true? (read more here)

Marriott to Build New Resort on Maui

KIHEI, Maui: In the Good News category, The Maui News is reporting that the Aston Maui Lu is being sold to Marriot Ownership Resorts Inc., who intends to raze the current buildings and replace them with a 388-unit timeshare resort. (read more here)
