This Saturday, May 2nd, the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer in Kenmore will host SmiteFest 2. Seattle-area gamers are invited to enjoy a day of board games, card games, and role-playing games in the Undercroft. Dinner - pizza and beverages - will be provided.

The first SmiteFest, held late last year, was a huge success. More than 40 people enjoyed a playing various computer games - Rock Band 2, Guitar Hero, Call of Duty 4, Wii Sports - and donated more than $100 for Child's Play, a charity that donates games to hospitals around the world.

Listen to the interview Fr. John Fergueson and SmiteFest organizer Wade Rockett gave on KOMO News radio on December 13th.

SmiteFest 2 is being organized by the gamers at Redeemer and Eric Franklin, who writes the Talking Game blog and runs Wednesday Game Night at Phoenix Games in Mukilteo.
