The real danger of Obama's school speech

After the accusations of indoctrinating school children with his “socialist ideology,” Obama changed his speech, as well as the materials sent out to teachers. Even his critics now say it's a good speech. So there's no problem, right? Wrong.
But the problem is not Obama. He's simply capitalizing on the power of his position. He's doing what “educators” have done for decades by using his position of authority to instill his values in your children.
As a case in point, our local high school had a class dubbed PIG – Participation in Government. One would think this is a good thing. One would think the class would talk, perhaps, about voting, serving on a local board, or even running for elected office. One would think wrong.
What this class actually did was direct the students to visit the local social services office. They were instructed to obtain and fill out the required forms to sign up for food stamps … and welfare … and any other benefits they might possibly obtain. Instead of teaching them responsibility and independence, they were taught how to milk the system. Socialist ideology, indeed.
The real problem, though, is not what the public school system teaches. The real problem is that most of us, as products of the public school system, abdicate our responsibility to educate our children. At age five, we give them to the state, who returns them thirteen years later, thoroughly indoctrinated. That's not hyperbole. That's the definition of education.

He climaxed his teaching career as New York State Teacher of the Year after being named New York City Teacher of the Year on three occasions. He quit teaching on the OP ED page of the Wall Street Journal in 1991 while still New York State Teacher of the Year, claiming that he was no longer willing to hurt children. [emphasis added]

The underlying goal of multicultural education is to affect social change. The pathway toward this goal incorporates three strands of transformation:
1. the transformation of self;
2. the transformation of schools and schooling; and
3. the transformation of society.
The only real option for parents who care is to take your children out of the public school system, just like Obama has done. If you can't afford private school like Obama, look into home schooling. There's a wealth of information available, and you don't have to be a rocket scientist to teach your own kids - despite what the government would have you believe. They have managed to learn to walk and talk without the state's help, haven't they?
If you choose to leave your kids in public school, if you're not willing to take responsibility for the greatest blessings God ever gave you, don't be surprised if they behave like this in a few years:
