A Super Bowl winner with the Patriots in their 2002 upset victory over the Rams, Ty Law has landed in Denver to give an already stout secondary a major veteran boost.

After stints with the Chiefs and Jets in recent years, Law has agreed to a contract that will pay him $800,000 over the course of the rest of the season. The 35-year-old 5-time Pro Bowler will also get a $200,000 signing bonus, and can earn as much as $400,000 in playing-time & performance incentives.

Law will bolster a Denver Broncos defense that already ranks among the highest in the league. Pending the results of Friday's physical, Law will play on Monday Night Football this week, as the Broncos host the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Law has a long history with Steelers receiver Hines Ward through both regular season and postseason play. Law was brought in by the Jets last year to cover the Patriots' Randy Moss, and Denver coach Josh McDaniels likely has similar designs for Law versus Ward and the Steelers.
