The Ad Council, the Humane Society of the United States, and Maddie's Fund are teaming up on a ground-breaking national campaign designed to increase adoptions of shelter animals.
Remember "Loose Lips Sink Ships" and "The Crash Test Dummies"? How about "Friends Don't Let Friends Drive Drunk" and "Only You Can Prevent Forest Fires"? These universally recognizable and totally unforgettable campaigns were all brought to you by the Ad Council, a non-profit organization founded in 1942 to use the media and communications industry's committement to community to deliver critical messages to the public. And now, thanks to HSUS and Maddie's Fund, they'll turn their immense talents on the plight of shelter animals in the U.S.
Set to debut mid-year, this first-of-its-kind effort to promote shelter adoptions is sure to bring a smile to the faces of all those who work in animal welfare and has the potential to make a difference in the lives of millions of animals nationwide.
