The 17th annual Canines, Cats & Cabernet auction and wine tasting is Sunday, November 8, 2009 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Marriott Legacy Town Center. The event benefits Operation Kindness, North Texas’ largest and oldest no-kill animal shelter. Admission is only $75 at the door and includes hors d'oeuvres, a mashed potato bar, carving stations, and a number of wine varietals for your sampling. Highlights of the event include a live auction and silent auction, wine pull, and a "Dinner for a Year" raffle with a grand prize of 52 restaurant gift certificates. Hundreds of auction items include KISS concert tickets, a Mavs Suite with catering, handbags from Juicy Couture, Christian Dior and Escada, vacation getaways, jewelry, gift certificates, sports memorabilia and more.
Canines, Cats & Cabernet is Operation Kindness’ most important fundraiser of the year and helps provide much-needed funds for the care of the animals. The proceeds from this event helped Operation Kindness provide quality care and new homes for nearly 3,000 dogs and cats in 2008.
