Astrology for July 4th, 2009

Parties, travel, fireworks will be fantastic for this day of celebration. A lighthearted atmosphere prevails with the moonsign in Sagittarius. Look for extreme Bacchanal type festivities to prevail all around.

Highlighting the true meaning of this day, imagine the warfare using musket loader rifles and canons. Think back on the kind of spirit that gave the United States freedom from oppression, and sovereignty as an independent nation.

Compare and contrast the high tech weaponry of today with the way war was fought back then. Upon command, gunpowder was inserted into the gun barrel, then the bullet, or leaden ball, if you will.

With the musket loader rifles, it took fourteen seconds just to get ready to shoot. How anyone survived at that rate is somewhat of a miracle. The spirit of freedom meant so much to these fighters of a bygone day.

A word of caution about fireworks is in line. Since Sagittarius is a fire sign, the fireworks displays should be extra beautiful and sensational. However, when having your own fireworks, be extra careful not to get burned.

Caution when driving should be an extra concern, because of the jovial influence of Sagittarius, and the inclination to imbibe a little too much. More than this, the full moon is nigh, and folks will be influenced by its incoming energy combined with the fiery, fun loving Sagittarian characteristics.
