You don't have to be a fan of reality television to recognize the inspiring role that Biggest Loser is playing in our country and around the world. Going on eight seasons, Biggest Loser has captivated America's attention, and hearts, and shown us just how possible weight loss can be. Each season, more than 100,000 people fill the postal system and audition lines hopeful they'll be the next person to regain their health and their lives on that most famous of scales.
This summer Biggest Loser is casting for its ninth season, which will air in January 2010. While there are only so many spots that can be filled, you'll never know if it could have been you unless you try.
The casting call tour is visiting 15 cities, from LA to NYC and everywhere in between. While they aren't coming to Wichita, they are going to be in some nearby locations that might be worth the road trip.
In a recent interview with Allison Kaz, Biggest Loser casting director, she explained that attending a casting call is not necessary. You can simply submit a video an application by mail for consideration (and they do cast those people, too, she says!).

As for what to do at these casting calls, Allison Kaz has a few audition dos and don'ts.
It's also important to remember that you don't "need" Biggest Loser to make these changes. It certainly helps, and to earn a spot on the show is the chance of a lifetime. Simply introducing healthier dietary habits and engaging in more physical activity each and every day will yield results. Biggest Loser and Jillian Michaels each make their own unique brands of weight loss available at home via their online programs, book publications, fitness DVDs and more.
