Today’s workplace is becoming leaner and agile. Employers are expecting their employees to do more with less and yet keep up with the ever changing pace. Employees, like myself, have been inundated with new expectations and new job duties often feel like they are in a vacuum. However, during the past few weeks I read the book, Wisdom of Penguins, and found these quotes most helpful during rough times.

“Life takes on meaning when you become motivated, set goals, and charge after them in an unstoppable manner.” –Les Brown

“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.” –Margaret Mead

“Silence is the most powerful scream.” –Anonymous

“The farther backward you can look, the farther forward you are likely to see.” –Winston Churchill

“Never look down on anybody unless you are helping him up.” –Jesse Jackson
