Dig in!

When last we left Survivor, Jalapao was down to only 4 players after losing Sydney.  With Timbira still at 6 players, a merge was expected and tonight the two tribes did indeed become one.  The players got together for the usual large "merge" feast with a table full of fruit, cheese, crackers, meat, and lots of alcohol.  As they pigged out, they came up with the new name of Forza for the merged tribe.

Coach is in charge now!

Coach instantly takes a liking to JT and pulls him aside as an partner and devises a plan to team up with Tyson, JT, Stephen, and Debbie to keep a strong 5 to the end.  These talks mark one of the first times where teams swapped sides so quickly and easily.  It really showed who liked their tribe, and who didn't!  These 5 were gunning for Brendan to be the first to go... but of course they didn't tell him that because they didn't want him pulling out the hidden immunity idol at tribal council.

Tyson win's immunity

The first challenge as a merged tribe was about endurance.  Each player had to hold on to a poll for as long as they could.  This challenge proved especially hard for Stephen and Joe who were the first eliminated.  Debbie and Tyson were the final two still hanging after 30 minutes... luckily they are in the same alliance!  However they still had to fight because they didn't want it to be too obvious that they were together.  Debbie tried her best, but in the end barefoot Tyson managed to use his toes as help and won individual immunity.

Joe's injury sent him packing

Everything seemed set for their alliance, but Joe's injury from last week had gotten bad enough that medical needed to look at it... Would Joe go home because of his injury?  While Tyson seemed to think his alliance was golden, the tribe still didn't know Joe's fate and how this would affect the game.  Just to be safe, Tyson's alliance decided they wanted to split the vote between Sierra and Brendan so that if an idol is played, one of them will still go home.  After all this scheming and planning, Jeff comes in to tell them that Joe has in fact been sent to the hospital and there will be NO Tribal Council tonight!

Coach's alliance seemed so strong tonight, but a lot can change in a week... will Brendan still be the first to go?  Or will new alliances form before the next tribal council?  Tune in next week on CBS to see what happens.
