Friday

After losing his job on his day off, Craig(portrayed by Ice Cube) hangs out with his homeboy Smokey (portrayed by Chris Tucker) in the not so nice areas of South Central L.A. Over the day of Friday Craig and Smokey get into antics that get them into trouble, breaking and entering, getting Craig high on marijuana, and getting in a fight with Deebo.

Next Friday

Craig is back to his old games again as he is still living with his parents. Deebo has broken out of jail and is taking a dog catcher truck ride right into town to find him. And probably to kill Craig and anyone else around. Craig is sent to live with uncle Elroy who's house is in the 'burbs.

Friday After Next

A robber disguised as Santa Claus breaks into Craig and Day-Day's house. Craig fights with the robber, but the robber escapes with the presents and rent money to keep from getting evicted. So Craig and Day-Day get jobs as security guards. In a desperate attempt to make the rent, the duo throw a "rent party".

The first one is a great example of urban comedy. The second and third film were not great like the first movie, but had some good moments that keep you watching them. If you like racially stereotyped characters just to laugh at, then this trilogy is a set of movies to watch. The best part of these movies is that they were written by Ice Cube about the black community. Though the film is a comedy, the race relations shown are true depictions of the lower middle class and lower class community issues.
