This film is a remake(before remakes were cool) of A Guy Named Joe. It stars Richard Dreyfuss as Pete Sandich, a firefighter pilot who unexpectedly dies while putting out a forest fire. He shows up not realizing he is dead until he talks to his guardian angel(played by Audrey Hepburn), she tells him he is to be a guardian to to young wannabe aviator Ted Baker(Brad Johnson. Ted has fallen in love with Dorinda Durston(a very young looking Holly Hunter) his girlfriend. The story is of him giving his girlfriend freedom from him because she loved him so much she didn't want to be with any other guys.

Always is a sad romantic drama. As much as one could hate being so tense while watching, the movie does its job of emotional involvement. Directed by Steven Spielberg, its one of the less popular films of his because its one of his few non-blockbuster type movies.
