When we first heard "change you can believe in" from then Candidate Barack Obama, many people thought that it was really something that might be possible. After all, it wasn't just "change", it was "change you can believe in."

As the days roll on, more and more people are learning that nothing has changed in Washington, either on the Democrat, or Republican side of the aisle. Virtually everyone is still out for themselves. No one seems to be immune from returning campaign favors, or, from feathering their own coffers. Here is the latest disappointing revelation involving President Obama-

"The Obama Administration is moving closer to new legislation and policy that will allow many of President Barack Obama's wealthiest contributors in the venture capital industry to take Federal contracts meant for small businesses"

Add this to the SBA's decision to delay deployment of the ARC program for small businesses, plus failure thus far to enact legislation to make certain that Federal Small Business set-aside contracts actually go to small businesses, as well as the administrations' decision to not include small business leaders in various economic and business councils, we realize that we are just seeing more of the same from the past.

On top of all of this, we recently learned that much more of President Obama's campaign donations came from large corporations than individuals, as we were originally lead to believe. This too is yet another nail in the coffin of entrepreneurs trying to capture their piece of the American dream, as obviously, in their minds, returning political favors is more important than helping struggling businesses, as well as enabling Americans with desire and a solid idea to work for their piece of the pie.

As I have written about tirelessly beforehand, small business creates nearly every new job in America. As this New York Times Op-Ed piece says; "The Economy Is Still at the Brink." Given the situation, shouldn't the President be doing everything possible to hep small businesses so that new jobs can indeed be created?

To those who thought that then candidate Obama would be different if elected, sadly, you were wrong. Please don't feel too bad as it appears Democrats and Republicans are equal opportunity offenders, and there will no be "change" from either side of the Beltway money train, which, seems to be boarding 24x7!
