We’ve become all too familiar with hearing repeated negative employment news. Based on my research, sadly, it has become “white noise” for many; especially those who still have jobs.
Every once in awhile some good employment related news crosses my desk, and I find myself compelled to share it, as I know that the mainstream media will not report the information.
ParetoCentral is a service that connects highly talented individuals with companies looking for both temporary, and “permanent” (whatever that means today!) assignments. What makes ParetoCentral different than typical employment search firms? ParetoCentral allows currently unemployed, underemployed, and dissatisfied consultants and business executivesto search for assignments at no charge, while allowing companies to utilize tremendously skilled talent that they would not have had access to previously.
Many of the consultants who are listed are also seeking to build their own consulting firms, and ParetoCentral is the online incubator that allows them the space, and the platform to make their dream come true. ParetoCentral is also a wonderful venue for those who also have job security concerns to test the waters to see what opportunities may be available to them.
Is this the right time, and the right space for ParetoCentral to be in? Unequivocally, I respond yes! In my own experiences, clients are seeking subject matter experts, as well as seasoned professionals who can bring significant and immediate standing to their companies. Today’s RFQ/RFP’s (request for quote/proposal) are far more detailed and demanding. As a side note, this is why most consultants are finding that they are working twice as hard for the same amount of money that they billed last year at this time.
Is there resistance from clients engaging firms who use outside talent? From what I have seen, not at all! Though there are many reasons for this, here are two big factors:
• In today’s employment environment, those reviewing proposals and qualifications know all too well that circumstances could change, and they could be dialing into ParetoCentral looking for work themselves.
• The pool of available talent and brainpower is unprecedented. Not taking advantage of this resource is short sided and foolish.
I suggest that both talent, and especially employers, check out ParetoCentral today and see firsthand the high level of available expertise.
