
There is an old saying that any press is good press. Of course, I could think of some disgraced politicians, company CEO's and others who may disagree.
In the case of Gatorade though, their new ad campaign is drawing more curiosity than brand buzz.
On one hand, this is not necessarily a bad thing as people are talking about your product. On the other hand, like a joke, if you have to explain it, its just not funny.
While Gatorade may be still be on the cusp of marketing genius, as of now though, Studebaker's marketing prowess seems more enviable.
