Photos, as we all know, make great gifts. In the day and age of digitial, it's very easy to give a digital photo frame as a gift (especially since prices are sliding rapidly! I've seen 8" frames that went for $120+ before the holidays now available for sub-$90). But there's still something about the printed image.

One technique for displaying printed images that I've recently stumbled on is pairing for photos. By including two perspectives of one event or scene, you add a relatability to it that may not exist in a single image. For instance, a photo of the Grand Canyon is beautiful, but pairing it with a shot of you and the receiver at the Grand Canyon makes it more relevant and more personal.

You can do this with a double frame (there are literally thousands of styles out there), or a little Photoshop magic to get both images on a single print. I like the tactile feel of the multi-frame, but I've seen the editing side done extremely well.
