Tomorrow there will be photo opportunities galore, from the parade to the actual inauguration to inagural balls to parties. Alas, I will be on a plane headed during most of it (I anticipate long lines at security tomorrow...I'll pack smart and light, keeping my camera nearby). In the meantime, the Presidential Inaugural Committe's Web site has been building excitement all along. People around the country have been sending photos in of how they are prepping to celebrate the inauguration of the 44th President of the United States.

These are some of those pics from www.PIC2009.org.

If you're not going to be at the inauguration, keep you're camera handy anyway. There are a lot of local events going on around the country and there will be photo ops galore as Barack Obama is sworn in.

If you are going, go early to get a good photo spot! You're going to need a long lens (and maybe a monopod, to get a steady shot). Good luck!
