The International Association of Skateboard Companies (IASC) and Skatelab, home of Skateboarding Hall of Fame, are joining forces on an official inaugural induction event to honor four of the most iconic names in the history of the sport: Tony Hawk, Danny Way, Tony Alva and Bruce Logan.

"Skateboarding has grown up, and not in a bad way - we can look back and be proud of the history of our sport,"

said John Bernards, executive director of IASC.

"Taking the opportunity to acknowledge and honor the individuals who have so greatly influenced and shaped the industry allows us to look forward to the future of skateboarding without ever forgetting our roots and everything it took to get where we are today.”

The invitation-only celebration will happen this October 24 at the Vans Skatepark in Orange, CA, with live musical performance and auctions of a large selection of skate memorabilia. The proceeds will benefit the Go Skateboarding Foundation.
