Those of you who are fellow children of the '80's and looking to nurse an interest in astronomy or space exploration might fondly remember Odyssey Magazine. Guided by a futuristic (well, an '80's-version idea of futuristic) named Uly-- as in Ulysses-- grade-school aged explorers were introduced to constellations and the latest goings-on at NASA.
Now that interested young'uns can find up-to-the-second information online, I found myself wondering what became of Odyssey. Turns out it's still around-- just in a broader form. The magazine now covers "adventures in science," including articles on such subjects as exotic animals, advancements in building engineering, and how babies develop. There's no sign of Uly, either, who seems to be replaced with a cartoon... thing... called "Dr. Cyborg."
But the good old days are still very much with us: Odyssey's website still contains astronomy information and links to NASA.
