Pet-a-palooza on Halloween in Birmingham

Join other animal lovers at Veteran's Park on Valleydale Rd on Saturday, October 31, 2009 for the 6th annual Pet-a-palooza from 9 am to 2 pm. Attendants are encouraged to come dressed in costume, both human and animal, and to join the Halloweenie race at 11 am.
For free admission, attendants may meet adoptable pets with local rescues and humane societies, visit local animal-related vendor booths such as Fetch! Pet Care, and enjoy the company of other animal lovers. Other events include a microchip clinic for low cost pet microchipping, an excellent way to ensure a pet's safe return in the event of loss, and a Blessing of the Animals ceremony in honor of St. Francis of Assisi.
If bringing a pet, be aware that event sponsors require a signed waiver to enter with a pet.
