Attorneys Against Hunger, of the Allegheny County Bar Association, has been helping feed the hungry and elderly in Allegheny County since 1993. They have raised over $820,000 over the years and over $119,000 during 2008-2009, ensuring that local food pantries get much needed assistance during these difficult economic times. In addition to their good works, LexisNexis has partnered with them to take care of the drive’s administrative costs, thus allowing 100% of donations to go to the fund.

November 21, 2009, one of the community outreach events will be distributing Thanksgiving dinners from 7:00 AM to 12:00 noon at Urban League Hunger Services, Human Services Building, One Smithfield Street (basement),Pittsburgh, PA 15222.

These attorneys are the type of "special", unsung heroes who realize the blessings that they have been given and clearly see that their true happiness and personal inner wealth comes from helping others who are less fortunate and need help with the basic necessities of life. They are an inspiration and example for what we ALL need to follow in our daily lives, and during this Thanksgiving holiday.
