Bonus 7-11-21 scratchcard

Bonus 7-11-21 is a big brother to 7-11-21 Tripler, offering ten times the jackpot for twice the price, and at less than twice the odds of the smaller game. In fact, the chances of winning any prize are slightly better for this game, putting the “bonus” in its name, but math again rears its ugly head unnecessarily here, as it has in Loose Change and Triple Dollars.

• Cost: $2.00

• Odds: 1 in 5.02 for any prize, 1 in 1,200,000 for grand prize

• Top prize: $21,000

• Difficulty of play: 4 out of 10 (math needed to see if you've won)

• Last date to cash: open (but check the end of game schedule for updates)

Game play: Card has six prize areas and a bonus box. Each prize area has three numbers, if they add up to a 7, 11, or 21 you win the prize shown. If the bonus box has a $ symbol, you win seven dollars; if it has $$ you win $21.00.
Trying my luck: Math always makes me grumpy, and we know that a bad mindset doesn't help bring in the jackpots. 'Nuff said.
Scratcher: 1889 Liberty dollar
Technique: Having to do math threw me off my game, and I didn't use my signature scratch, instead going left to right and stopping to do the arithmetic each time.
Results: As I expected, I lost another two dineros. I probably should reconsider my distaste for these complicated games; a woman I met in line the other day who had a $25 winning Cashword said to me, “I don't like to lose in a hurry.”
