Criminal defense lawyer Joe Friedberg joined the Landslide Norm Coleman legal team Friday as the court phase of this slow moving circus train officially got underway.
Utterly charismatic, animated, funny, and quick, Joe Friedberg, who has been involved working on settlements in the controversial Dalkon Shield case as well as defending such notable clients as Russell Lund, Jr., the grocery store mogul who was accused of killing his ex-wife and Pat Forciea, the former Democratic Party operative and sports marketing whiz, who was convicted of fraud.
He is also an old friend and colleague of Landslide Norm Coleman where they worked together at the Minneapolis law firm of Winthrop and Weinstine long ago.
He called me. He’s obviously at a very important place in his life. He asked me if I would help. He’s a friend. What am I going to do - say no?” Joe Friedberg
Friedberg represented Coleman’s father, now deceased, on a disorderly conduct charge. Friedberg also represents money-man Nasser Kazeminy, Landslide Norm's alleged benefactor who, along with Landslide Coleman, is reportedly a target of a federal investigation.
Oh, yeah...the alleged on-going FBI investigation. Amid the election mayhem, people kind of...forgot...about that little Coleman problem.
When asked about the Kazeminy-Coleman-Friedberg triangle, Landslide Norm Coleman’s campaign communications director Mark Drake declined comment.
