As police and forensic teams get ready to wind down the search for bodies at the home of suspected serial killer Anthony Sowell, authorities may expand their search for victims to other towns where Sowell lived.
The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports detectives in the neighboring town of East Cleveland are looking into three unsolved murders from 20 years ago.
The Plain Dealer says Sowell used to live in East Cleveland and three homicides there have similarities to the homicides discovered a week ago at Sowell's Cleveland home in Imperial Avenue.
As of Friday night, 11 bodies had been recovered from the home. Police have identified four sets of remains. People from the community set up a picture memorial across the street from Sowell's home and wait for news on the identities of the dead.
Sowell, 49, a convicted rapist, was arrested last week after two bodies were found rotting in his home. This past week, a task force of police and forensic experts scoured the home and yard to locate all remains. Sowell is in jail on $5 million bond.
