Four alleged members of the Black P Stone Nation are in federal custody and held without bond for crack cocaine sales in an area of the South Side known as Terror Town and authorities say a former member of that gang helped with the investigation.
The FBI says the Black P Stone Nation controls drug trafficking in Terror Town, an area bounded 75th and 79th Avenues and Yates and Colfax Streets.
The former gang member set up drug deals and helped authorities get both video and audiotape of the transactions, according to the FBI.
It seems like the drug operation was a family affair. Those charged are Randy Smith, 31, aka "Renegade" and his brother Herman, 26, aka "Corky". A man thought to be their cousin is also charged. His name is Michael Smith, 33, aka "One Eyed Mike". The fourth man charged is Timothy Moses, 25.
All four men are from Chicago. Michael Smith faces a 5 to 40 year prison sentence. The rest of the group faces between 10 years and life in prison if convicted.
The arrests were made following a joint investigation by the FBI and Chicago police.
