Shocking stories of child sexual abuse and possible multiple deaths are emerging from rural Bates City,  Missouri where authorities say a group of family members sexually abused children over the course of two decades.

The Associated Press report five male members  of the Mohler family are charged with sodomy, rape and other sex crimes against children. The investigation is focusing on several acres of family property about 30 miles east of Kansas City, Mo.

Local authorities held a news conference this afternoon and and asked for the public's help identifying potential victim's. (click here for KMBC video of news conference)

Lafayette County Sheriff Kerrick Alumbaugh said during the news conference investigators have reason to suspect there are bodies of victims buried on the property. He says  anyone who has a relative that went missing in 1980s and 90s in that area should give police a call.

A search of  several acres of the family property is underway and KMBC -TV reports
