A Belgian draft horse from Mount Pleasant, Texas, may be the world’s tallest horse.
At least that’s what owner Cheryl Davis Princeton, Texas is hoping. Her horse Remington measures 6 feet, 8 inches from shoulder to hoof, which may just be tall enough to land him in the Guinness Book of World Records. He’s not quite a half-inch taller than the horse that currently holds the title, Radar, a Belgian draft horse from Mount Pleasant, Texas. (Pictured)
This weekend a vet is expected to make the formal measurements. Remington will be measured with his horse shoes on and off, according to NPR news.
Davis told NPR she bought Remington for his black and white features, not because of his size.
Even if he falls short of the title, Remington is still a high horse. From head to hoof he measures 9 1/2 feet. And he weighs 3,000 pounds.
