Monkeys are known for their poor social skills, and this one took that stereotype to new heights. A monkey perched high in a tree urinated on Zambia’s President Rupiah Banda as he gave an outdoor press conference at the nation's State House in Lusaka.

Banda was recently re-elected to the southern Africa country. It wasn’t certain if the monkey was making a political statement.

But like a true politician, Banda didn’t let the monkeyshines stop his press conference. He even managed to spin it into a positive.

There really is a lesson in all of this. Just remember Banda’s words the next time someone figuratively does to you what the monkey did to him.

"Perhaps these are blessings," Banda said during the press conference last week, according to the New York Daily News.
