Britney Spears ready to act again?
Her 2002 film Crossroads may have been highly criticized, but word is spreading that after her very successful Circus Tour, Britney Spears wants to go back to acting.
There is one script for a film tentatively titled The Yellow Star of Sophia and Eton that is being submitted for Britney's consideration. She would play the main character, Sophia LaMont, who builds a time machine, travels back to World War II, and meets a Jewish man by the name of Eton at a concentration camp. They both fall in love, travel back to the present time, and plan to get married. Britney’s character converts to Judaism and they both get killed by Nazis. The purpose of the film is to show how anti-Semitism really hasn’t changed since the days of Hitler.
We can’t judge a script by its general description, but feel that Britney should stay away from this. Although films that show the dangers of prejudice are needed, this one sounds like it was written by a ten-year-old. She has just made a major comeback and can’t afford to be ridiculed again which is likely to happen if she takes on this role. What do you guys think?
