Mr. Hudson
Borrowed from Wikipedia

You may walk by Mr. Hudson on the street, and not take a 2nd glance, but most likely, you recognize his voice. His sole stirring vocals are paramount to the powerful sound on "Young Forever,"  on Jay-Z's classic Blueprint 3.  He also lent his vocals to Kanye on his groundbreaking album, 808s and Heartbreaks.

So, who is Mr. Hudson. His voice is a delicate mixture between Daryl Hall (of Hall & Oats fame) and Chris Martin (Cold Play). He has a subtle, yet intrinsic soulful element that makes his sound very unique.

His album is very soulful; very urban sounding; with enough alternative to keep him relevant on the pop stations. But his voice, not the production and/or sound is the draw to this amazing piece of work. In his jealousy-filled song "Anyone But Him, " Hudson expresses "Anyone but him...My blood boils, as my eyes turn green...Is he the best of the best on the scene...With Schoolboy fists, we can take this outsite...but knowing my luck, that F#$k would win." As reflected in that lyric, his album is very honest; very expressive; intense, but fun and full of that British funk/soul that has been ruling airwaves for the past 5-6 years.

If you're not familiar with Mr. Hudson...get familiar soon. Once the US gets hold of this (you know we're always behind), he's going to be on any and everyone's hook.

Here's who Mr. Hudson sounds like...
