Over the years we have all seen generations of children grow up on the television screen and in the movie theatres. And as long as there has been rock and roll music there have been teen idols. But recent years have brought even more of these young stars to light as television networks vie for the sharing of the ratings in younger audiences. Television, movies, and even music companies are dropping the target age for their products. It used to be that television networks aimed shows at the 25 to 49 years range, but now it is 18 to 25 and sometimes even lower. As music fans lean more toward the digital download, the music companies are aiming the music toward the younger computer generation of the pre teen to 18 year olds.
