Designed to be more than just another online magazine Red Wire will launch on December 1 - World AIDS Day. The new digital magazine offers subscribers a song each week. Half of the $5 monthly subscription fee will go to buying medicines needed to help those with HIV/AIDS in Africa. Each Wednesday subscribers will see new music downloaded into their iTunes library.
The first song scheduled to be offered to RedWire subscribers is a Christmas collaboration between The Killers and Sir Elton John "Joseph, Better You Than Me". Future music set for release on Red Wire are songs by U2, Jay-Z, Coldplay, Elvis Costello, The Police, and Bob Dylan.
Along with the featured song each week Red Wire will also offer a discovery song, a non music item (video, film, etc.) and a video on the work being done in Africa.
For subscribers who sign up before the launch date will receive their first two issues for free; they will receive a link on December 1 for getting their free issues.
