Rap music artist and mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs has decided to expand his talents and has turned his hand to acting.  Some time next year in mid to late winter Combs will appear on the CBS hit show "CSI: Miami".  Combs will play the role of a prosecutor who does not get along with show star Lt. Horatio Caine who is played by David Caruso.  Combs is set to appear in two episodes.

Combs is not the first person from the music world to appear in one of the CSI trilogy of shows.  American Idol rocker Chris Daughtry made his acting debut as one of the Mac Taylors on the one hundredth episode of the third show in the series "CSI: New York".  Nelly, who has appeared on the show before, also made an appearance in the episode.  Earlier rocker John Mayer played himself as the concert act on the original CSI show which takes place in Las Vegas.
