In what's being billed as an experiment to streamline the ticket buying process and to offer the best entertainment value Ticketmaster has joined up with Grammy winning rockers The Eagles to begin offering tickets with no convenience or service fees.  The new pricing will go into effect beginning with the January 12 concert in Hampton, Virginia.

Currently The Eagles is the only act that is under the no fee plan.  Ticketmaster claims that they want to see how the new pricing plan will go.  It was Ticketmaster who began the policy of charging a variety of fees to concerts, sports, and other performances in the first place.

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame members The Eagles have the record for the highest selling record when their "Greatest Hits" album sold 29 million copies; one of three records that have earned the Diamond Award for over 10 million copies sold.
