That lovable crevat wearing resident of Jellystone Park is headed for the big screen.  Yogi Bear, whose main occupation was seeking the ever elusive picnic basket, and his pal Boo Boo will be starring in their own movie.  Yogi and Boo Boo will be cast as their cartoon drawn selves while the rest of the cast will be live actors - similar to that of the "Alvin and the Chipmunks" movie.

Details of a release date or film plot have yet to be released; except that the moive will follow along the lines of the old cartoon shows.

Yogi Bear first made his appearance on television as a part of the "Huckelberry Hound" show in 1958.  In 1961 Yogi got his own show. Episodes were based around the theme of the lovable ursine getting into mischief searching for the picnic basket of visitors to his home in Jellystone Park.  Park ranger Mr. Smith was forever trying to avert Yogi's ploys.  Episodes of the show can still be seen in syndication.
