Amtrak train kills two in Alameda County

ALAMEDA COUNTY, CA -- Two people have been struck and killed by one Amtrak train in Alameda County. One was killed in Berkeley, and another two hours later in Oakland.

The first fatality happened around 12:20 p.m. in Berkeley according to Amtrak officials. After the accident the train was held at the crime scene until 1:50 p.m.

About thirty minutes later, after continuing on it's route, the same train struck and killed another person in Jack London Square in Oakland.

Following the second accident, the train was then cancelled. No victim has been identified yet, the case is being investigated by both the Amtrak and Union Pacific Police.
