Casey Anthony: is Zanny the Nanny Xanax?

Xanax

Casey Anthony has been charged with the murder of her daughter, and if convicted she faces death row. From the beginning of the investigation, and the search for her daughter Caylee Marie Anthony, Casey has insisted that she was with Zanny. In depositions given to the law firm of John Morgan, both Cindy and George Anthony stated that Casey Anthony often referred to “Zanny the Nanny” though they had never met her or spoke with her via telephone. It is my belief that Zanny the Nanny is a drug. Zanny or Xanny, is a common name for the drug Xanax, a drug that is more than powerful enough to “babysit” Caylee while Casey partied.

There are several factors that cause me to ask if Zanny the Nanny is Xanax. First, Ricardo Morales, an ex-boyfriend of Casey’s had informed police that Casey had told him she would use baby medicine to put Caylee to sleep. In the supplemental report investigators asked Morales if he knew whether or not Casey used hard drugs. He admitted that they used pot, but wasn’t sure regarding hard drugs. In my opinion, the fact that Casey Anthony had given Caylee baby medicine to put her to sleep, and had verbalized this in front of Ricardo Morales makes it highly possible that she would give her something stronger, especially on those nights where she had a party to go to, needed to promote the latest club, or met a new man.

When Cindy Anthony was asked if she had heard of Zanny the Nanny, she responded that she not only had heard of her, but also had written several phone numbers and addresses into her address book. She later stated that those address books were given over to police at the beginning of the investigation. This does not make sense. If your grandchild is missing for one month, and you have a telephone number and address of the babysitter, your first step would be to contact the child’s mother. When that failed, you would call the babysitter. Never has Cindy Anthony stated that she called “Zanny the Nanny” in an attempt to locate Caylee.

I feel so strongly that Zanny the Nanny was Casey’s “pet name” for Xanax, that I think it might be possible that George or Cindy had a prescription for the drug. If they did not, there is no doubt that it would have been easy for Casey to buy it on the street. As with any drug addiction, most drug use involves a gateway drug than proceeds to heavier drugs. If Casey started giving Caylee baby medicine, then progressed to Xanax, she might have decided to use chloroform. Many liars get away with lying by telling partial truths. This way, they can look you in the eye and tell you a lie as truth in a more convincing manner. If Zanny the Nanny were always Casey’s name for Xanax, then it would be much easier for her to continue telling the same story without straying from the facts. Casey Anthony has always told partial truths, ranging from the smell in her car, to working at Universal Studios, and even that Caylee was close to home. I believe that her lies regarding Zanny the Nanny are also partial truths, that Zanny is Xanny, short for Xanax.
