You can run or walk for beer, paella and a “1905” salad as you support efforts to find a cure for cancer at the Eighth Annual “Richard’s Run for Life” 5K. This annual event, sponsored by Columbia Restaurant, takes place on the historic streets of Ybor City on Friday, November 6th at 7:00 p.m.
The event will begin in Ybor City's Centennial Park and is open to both runners and walkers. All proceeds will go to The Amandalee Fund for Sarcoma Cancer Research at Tampa’s Moffitt Cancer Center.
Richard’s Run for Life was started by running enthusiast Richard Gonzmart. Pairing his running experience with his quest to fight cancer, Gonzmart created Richard’s Run to fulfill his goal of finding a cure for cancer.
If registration is before November 3, the entry fee is $25 per person donation. The fee goes up to $30 per person donation after November 4th. All registered runners and walkers get into the post race party for free and will take home a race t-shirt.
The post race party in Centennial Park is also open to guests and visitors for fun and good eatin' for a $20 donation. Children under 12 get in for $10.
For registration information, click here, or you can grab an entry form at any Columbia Restaurant location in Ybor City, St. Petersburg and Sand Key, or at the Columbia Cafe at The Tampa Bay History Center in Channelside.
