This past Friday we got news that ZMD: Zombies of Mass Destruction would be joining the ranks of the next After Dark Horrorfest in January and today we have our first look at a trailer along with three others.
Tucker & Dale vs Evil is a horror-comedy that’s been drawing quite a bit of attention. The film follows Tucker (Whedon vet Alan Tudyk: Serenity, Dollhouse, 3:10 to Yuma) and Dale (Tyler Labine: Reaper, Invasion), two country boys who may not be too smart, but certainly aren’t looking for any trouble. Trouble finds them, though, when a group of college kids go camping nearby and have a tendency to die on their property. Tucker & Dale vs Evil looks like a very funny reversal of the classic “killer in the woods” horror trope.
The Eternal is a bit of an odd case. The film hasn’t yet begun production, but will build upon filmmaker Justin McConnell’s short film Ending the Eternal. The concept behind the film is that Samuel Gradius has been a vampire for 500 years and has decided that he’s done with the whole business. Rather than just committing suicide though, he wants a warrior’s death at the hands of someone who has truly bested him. Production doesn’t begin until next year, but you can watch Ending the Eternal at the film’s official website.
Train, starring Thora Birch (American Beauty, Ghost World), will be released on DVD November 17th from Lionsgate. After a college sports team travelling abroad misses their train, they catch a ride on an alternate route. But this train is filled with horrendously disfigured passengers and the young American athletes may discover firsthand how they got that way. Be warned, this is a red-band trailer that contains violence, torture and nudity.
