Week 10 NFL odds is highlighted by perhaps the best game of the year: the Patriots vs. Colts. Bodog has Indianapolis -3 with a total of 50.
Here is the official betting preview, one that Jimmy “the Greek” Snyder would appreciate.
The Patriots come into the game at 6-2 straight up and 4-4 to the sportsbook odds. However they are 1-2 straight up and against the spread on the road going under all three. Indianapolis is 8-0 straight up and 5-4 to the number, yet they are 1-3 against the spread at home. Likewise, the Colts have gone under three of their four home contests.
The Pats complete 66.4 percent of their passes to teams that normally allow just 61.3 and they get a stunning 7.4 yards per pass against squads that normally permit 6.7.
On defense New England allows just 14.4 points per game to teams normally getting 20.8 but the key indicators say they may have had some good fortune as they allow teams to get close to their normal average in yards per pass, yards per pass attempt, and yards per play.
The Colts running game has struggled greatly getting just 85 yards per game against teams normally permitting 107 on 3.7 yards per rush to 4.1. However Peyton Manning and the Colts complete 70.5 percent of their passes to teams that normally permit 63.3 and 8.0 yards per pass to 7.0.
The Colts are barely above average against the run, but allow just 5.3 yards per pass to teams normally getting 6.1.
Against the spread records: New England is 11-3 in the series and the underdog is 11-3. The Pats are also 8-2 off a ATS loss, 381-8 after getting more than 350 total yards previous game. But they are just 7-15 off a straight up win.
Indianapolis is 3-10 after allowing more than 250 yards passing last game.
