Los Angeles resident, Heidi Montag, the newlywed married to Spencer Pratt and the questionable star, with her villain husband of NBC's television show, I'm a Celebrity - Get Me Out of Here!, as well as soon to be Playboy magazine playmate, is also a member of a blended family that is only hinted at during her appearances on MTV's television reality show, The Hills.
Heidi's parents appeared on The Hills multiple times, mostly to try and talk Heidi out of marrying her now husband. But the reality is that these parents are her mother and stepfather, Darlene and Tim Egelhoff, who own a restaurant and a real estate business together in Crested Butte, Colorado, where Heidi grew up. But Heidi doesn't really look like either of them, and the puzzle pieces fell together when her "real father" as she put it in the show, appeared in the wedding episode of The Hills, and walked her down the aisle at her wedding. Bill Montag looks a lot like his daughter. Bill's other daughter with ex-wife, Darlene, is wanna be celebrity, Holly Montag (spitting image of her mother), who has appeared on The Hills and most recently on I'm a Celebrity -- Get Me Out of Here! taking Heidi's place when she quit the show, allegedly tortured and ill.
Heidi and Holly have stepsiblings, the late Eric O'Hara, an American soldier and war veteran who died at age 24 in a freak accident where he fell off a roof in Colorado while clearing snow. Another stepsister is Katie O'Hara. Both O'Hara siblings are children of Teri Montag from her marriage prior to her current one with Heidi's father, Bill, as is Carissa Berlet, a married sister and sibling of Katie and Eric, and stepsister of Heidi and Holly. Heidi and Holly also have a stepmother, Teri Montag.
