This Wednesday night, the "On The Mat" radio broadcast will feature Coe College head wrestling coach John Oostendorp, and Joe Breitbach, owner of Joe’s Knight Hawk Restaurant.

  • John Oostendorp is in his eighth season as the leader of the Coe College wrestling team and was the 2009 NWCA National Coach of the Year. The Kohawks finished fourth in the NCAA Division III tournament the past two seasons. Coe returns five All-Americans from last season’s team.
  • Joe Breitbach owns Joe’s Knight Hawk Restaurant in Waverly, Iowa, which is within walking distance from the Wartburg College campus. On Tuesday night, November 17, Joe’s Knight Hawk will be hosting their annual pre-season wrestling night where several high school and college coaches in Iowa will have the opportunity to talk about their teams for the upcoming season.

“On the Mat," a presentation of the Dan Gable International Wrestling Institute and Museum in Waterloo, Iowa, is broadcast every Wednesday from 5:05 - 6:00 pm Central time on AM 1650, The Fan (in northeast Iowa), as well as available online at www.kcnzam.com.
