Wrestling fans aren't the only folks eagerly awaiting the start of the college wrestling season. Wrestlers themselves are more than ready to rumble...
Recently, two amateur wrestling websites -- d1collegewrestling.net (D1CW) , and TheOpenMat (TOM) -- each conducted interviews with two top college matmen.
Army's Matt Kyler profiled on d1collegewrestling.net: In the summer of 2006, Matt Kyler enrolled at the US Military Academy at West Point expecting to be the Black Knights' 125-pound starter. Fast forward three years and a couple of growth spurts later and Kyler is now Army's 149. The rapid weight gain has not affected Kyler's wrestling abilities, as he is a 3x EIWA (Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association) finalist and a 2008 NCAA Division I All-American. Kyler enters his senior season ranked #10 in the nation by D1CW. In a wide-ranging interview with D1CW, Kyler talks about what happened last year, what his expectations are for the 2009-2010 season, and how he came to choose West Point.

Stanford's Dylan Rush goes "7 Minutes on the Mat with TOM": Three- time Hawaii high school state champion Dylan Rush is ready to make a name for himself at Stanford University. A football transfer from UCLA, Rush is excited about getting back on the mat. In an interview with TheOpenMat, Rush answers questions such as "Which wrestling style do you prefer: folkstyle, freestyle or Greco-Roman?" and "If you could wrestle anyone from history, who would it be?"
