Atlantic Basin Hurricane Season officially runs from June 1 to November 30. North Carolina's peak hurricane season is essentially the middle 50% of the broader season (July 15 to October 15). Nearly every tropical storm or hurricane to make landfall in the Tarheel State did so between mid July and mid October.
