Hurricane Ida* will - either as a purely tropical or extra-tropical storm - directly impact the western Florida Panhandle or southern Alabama Tuesday.  To account for this strong potential, the National Weather Service has hoisted a Hurricane Watch for the counties of MOBILE, BALDWIN, ESCAMBIA, SANTA ROSA, and OKALOOSA in the following statement(s) available here.
