Tropical Depression Eleven (or soon-to-be Tropical Storm Ida) is destined to be a prolific Central American rain-producer between Wednesday 11 / 4 and Sunday 11 / 8 as weak steering winds allow the system to drench the region through that long time span. Beyond 11 / 8, the forecast for T. D. 11 (or T. S. Ida) is hazier, but extended-range computer forecast models like the GFS (American) model and the ECMWF (European) model suggest mid-level winds will allow at least some of the system's tropical moisture to enter the Gulf of Mexico region between Monday 11 / 9 and Friday 11 / 13.
