
Across the Bay Area, multiple beach events are scheduled to celebrate the summer solstice throughout the weekend, as well as Father’s Day. On June 20th, events start at 9 am and are planned throughout the day to take advantage of this great weekend.
Beach clean-ups, bonfires, and celebrations should be fun to experience in honor of this year’s solstice, and with a variety of places involved and activities planned, it should definitely be memorable.
A breakdown of several of the activities going on this weekend include:
June 20th:
• Pacifica Beach Clean-up (Linda Mar) from 9am – 11am
• Beach Clean-up at Baker Beach from 10am – 12pm
• Ocean Beach Clean-up from 4pm – 6pm
• Bay Area Sierrans Bonfire at Ocean Beach starting at 6pm
• Crabbing Tutorial at Fort Point 10 am – 12pm
• Free SF Bay Model Exhibit Tour
• Crissy Field Clean-up
June 21st:
• Ocean Beach Clean-up
• Muir Woods Summer Solstice Party
