You never really know what or whom you will cross paths with in the Bay Area, and the Bay Area beaches are no different. Whether you're at Crissy Field and witness the seals putting on a show for the fisherman, or the ducks that enjoy following you at Lake Chabot, or the birds soaring overhead performing aerial tricks as they search for food scraps at China Beach, the multitude of animals around the beaches is often forgotten.
However, it's the animals and the creatures that inhabit the beach that you really come to know while spending so much time at the beaches in the Bay Area. The people change, the activities change, even the weather varies, but the animals tend to stay the same. So, you can be sure to go home from a Bay Area beach almost always having met one of its lovable, and possibly annoying, inhabitants.
Stay tuned for the next edition of Met at the beach which will feature photos from other beach encounters. Also, check-out the jellyfish article and other captured moments from Bay Area Beaches.
