29-year-old Desmond Hatchett fathered 21 children so far. Hatchett, who lives in Knoxville, Tennessee, says that his children have at least 11 different mothers. The kids range in age from eleven months to eleven years, and have created quite a problem for their father who works for minimum wage.
Isn't it time to ask "what's wrong with this picture?" Or perhaps Dr. Phil needs to get Hatchett on his show and ask him, "What were you thinking?" before a TV reality show gets hold of him.Hatchett doesn't seem to have been thinking.
"I had four kids in the same year – twice," he bragged.
A few weeks ago he was in court where he appeared on the docket eleven times for different instances of failure to pay child support. Unfortunately for those children, you can't get that kind of money from a man who barely earns enough to support himself. Perhaps the government could provide Hatchett with enough to get a vasectomy or at least some counseling.
May all the children of the world be well cared for and loved, and may we all find a way to be creative without adding to our planetary burden.
