Last night, many female celebrities turned out to show their support for the first annual “One Night for Women’s Health Benefit”. The event was sponsored by the” Country for Women's Health Initiative” (CFWHI) and was held at Club 740 in Los Angeles, California.

In a press release, CFWHI stated, “In addition to host Adrianna Costa celebrity guests include "Dancing with the Stars'" Karina Smirnoff, Miss California USA Tami Farrell, Miss California Teen USA Chelsea Gilligan, former Miss USA Ali Landry, Kimberly Locke ("American Idol"), "Deal or No Deal's" Leyla Milani, Erin Sanders ("Zoey 101"), Julia Anderson ("True Beauty") and soap stars Serah D'Laine, Sean Kanan, Agnes Nicole Winter, and Jacqueline MacInnes Woods”.

"I am very proud of what we are doing," says Stephanie Lapensee, Senior Director of Operations and Creator of CFWHI. "As women living in North America, we often take for granted the health hazards that millions of women face on a daily basis in other countries. That is why this Initiative is so important and I am pleased so many amazing women are coming together to support this cause.”

CFWHI statistics indicate that, “Every day 1,600 women and over 10,000 newborns die due to complications that could have been prevented”. The Country for Women’s Health Initiative is dedicated to helping women all over the world. According to their website, “The initiative aims at raising funds for organizations that work towards improving the health of women, in many different ways, whether it'd be through research, through advocacy or field work. This initiative was build to help those who live to help women and society in its whole.”
